Basically what the title says, does the z87mx-d3h support overclocking as of the Intel Pentium G3258? Would the Coolmaster EVO 212 cool it at a high overclock? Thanks!

Oh, and the GPU will be the r7 260x, or an GTX 750

I think the z87 would work but I would try to get Z97 as you will be able to upgrade to broadwell later with the z97.

The r7 260X would be slightly more powerful than gtx 750.

Yes, you can overclock it with that board. The CM 212 Evo should allow a nice overclock, but it won't allow you to overclock it to the max.

Thanks for the tip on graphics card, as well I will look into the z97 mx I never knew you would be able to use it for broadwell... Thank you!

What would you suggest me to overclock it to?

You might need a bios update. Rather get a z97 mobo as they are around the same price

Hard to say, 4.0-4.5 would be my guess, although I've never used one of those CPUs myself. Try it out and see how much power you can get out of it :)

Thank you very much for your help, but since the other dude replied first I gave the solution to him. ;l Sorry, but thanks so much for your help!

Btw, I plan on upgrading to an i5-4670k later on... Just looking for a cheap CPU until then. :p
