Hi guys. I thing for build a new PC. This it:

AMD FX-6300‏
ASRock 980DE3/U3S3‏
1X8GB DDR3 1333Mhz‏
‎AMD Radeon HD6570 1GB DDR3‏
HHD Toshiba DT01ACA100 1TB 32M 7200
StarTech ATX2POWER450 450W‏

My question is :Is this PSU enough for this system?

Solution

It's your call. You can stick with it but if it doesn't end up working, you will have to buy one anyway. We can only recommend the best course of action. Whether you take it or not is obviously up to you. That said, your Startech PSU can most likely handle it, but I cannot tell you how well it will perform.

I hope that if it does fail, your power supply does not burn out any other components like the motherboard, RAM, or CPU. Otherwise, you will have to replace them as well.
Maybe.

Startech isn't on the list of quality power supply manufacturers. And as with most un-trusted brands, one can never be certain how well it performs or how well it hands different percentages of load on the PSU. It says 450W, but it may or may not output 450W. And if it doesn't handle load well, then it's a resounding NO because it will simply crash your system each time.

To be safe, I would replace it.

That's what I figured, and why I answered as I did. Your GPU's recommended PSU wattage is 400W, and needs 20A on the 12V rails (yours is rated at @ 37A). Even if your StarTech is pushing sub-spec power levels, you should still be alright. Next time you upgrade, it's worth it to spend a little extra to get a good quality, dependable PSU - everything downstream of it is depending on it. If it fails, hopefully your system will shutdown quickly enough to avoid damage to the rest of your components, but how much do you really want to count on that?
