I recently finished my first pc build, its been great so far although when running watch dogs my gpu (MSI GTX 770 2GB twin frozr) my gpu reaches temperatures of 67-72 degrees. Is this safe? should I turn down my graphics settings? While playing other gaems such as Rome 2 my gpu reaches 50 as a maximum. Thanks in advance!

I would say 80C is where you should begin looking into temps. Under that is safe operating temps, as most cards can run up to 90C.

Thanks for the reply! Would running it at 70C for a hour or two shorten its lifespan or is anything under 80 fine?

Even running at 80C it wont shorten the lifespan. If the card gets too hot they shutdown or downclock to save themselves from degradation.
