Okay so ive posted once and resolved some of my issues, but still i have the problem where my CPU core clocks drop from 4100mhz to 1400mhz when playing WoW?

Idle speed seems to be at 4100mhz for some reason since i have disabled PowerNow in the BIOS.

CPU temps never ever get above 50 degrees C under full load with PRIME95, Openhardwaremonitor shows all 4 cores shut down to 1400mhz/idle when playing wow.

So, for example wow will run fine now at around 80 FPS on high, then randomly, it will drop right down to 20-25 FPS, so i check Openhardwaremonitor, and it shows all 4 cores shut down to 1400mhz, then randomly it will jump back up to 4100mhz and perform fine, then 1 or 2 minutes later, the same thing will happen!

If anyone can help me i will be unbelievably grateful, as ive said, this doesnt happen when playing other games, although when running PRIME95, i did see it drop to 1400mhz, and the fan speed dropped, then it carried on at 4100mhz!

So confused, Bios is up to date, Checked various things in the BIOS and to no avail! brother has same build apart from he has fx4130, and with a spare GTX750 and my GTX660, does exactly the same thing!

SPEC :
ASUS GTX660 2GB
BioStar A960D+
AMD FX4300 3.8 GHZ (4.1GHZ OC)
8GB DDR3 1333MHZ RAM
1TB 7200rpm HDD seagate
1920x1080 AOC display HDMI

How long do you run Prime95?

(UPDATE): I did not see the motherboard you have. That is a bad motherboard. That is the issue. that motherboard can't handle the heat as it is missing the essential VRM heat sink.

Yor cpu is throttling due to the crappy mobo. You do know that your board is famous for the vrm section bursting into flames. Terrible power delivery.
