Hello. I have recently bought a new graphics card, a GT 640, and after a while of use, I have this awful lag problem. Everything lags, including windows itself! I used to just re-install the graphics card drivers and then don't do the restart afterwards, but now that doesn't work. I have tried restarting the computer and no luck! Please help me!!! I think it may be a drivers conflict, but I really don't know as I cant find any other drivers.

Solution
Try running CCleaner and do the Clean and Registry portions both. You may have registry errors, junk files, and other resource-wasting crap slowing down the system. https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner

You may also want to run this driver cleaner and then install the new driver again: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/550192/geforce-drivers/display-driver-uninstaller-ddu-v12-9-3-4-released-06-09-14-/
Previous driver remnants may be causing issues.

Don't forget to disable stuff running in the background you don't need. Check your tray for stuff that isn't necessary. Finally, update your virus pgm and run a FULL scan with it. Likewise with Malwarebytes: https://www.malwarebytes.org/
