i plan on building a standard gaming rig into the Corsair 350D micro ATX case:

http://www.corsair.com/en-gb/obsidian-series-350d-windo...

the case has space for 5 fans (2 front, top and one back)

a h100i is going to be installed on top with aftermarker fans. but, if i leave it as it is, is 1 140mm fan intake, and 3 120mm fan exhausts fine for a System?

also the fan placement of the front fan is right in the middle, specifically placed in-between drive cages as to provide optimal air flow, installing two would offset these fans from that middle position (but that position would still be covered by the bottom and top of the fans there).

That will be fine. No issues at all.

if i were, later in the future, to put two fans in the front would that improve my temps and performance? or make worse?

It wouldn't make anything worse, but I doubt you would see any more than 1-2 degrees improvement.

Fan placement rules, Intake fans go in the front, bottom and side slots, exhaust fans go in the rear and top slots.

I'm not a big fan of the 350D because it kind of blocks alot of airflow to that front fan with that solid faceplate, as opposed to a mesh or vented face.

I would move the rear exhaust to the front as intake, and just use the fans for the rad as exhaust, or remove the rear exhaust fan entirely and put an additional 140mm in front
