I build my own machines, and know that what I'm about to list isn't exactly "Gaming machine" material, but it will get the job done for the most part.

I am just wanting suggestions from you all as to what i should put in, I'm building this out of spare parts from the computer work that I do.

Currently has.
Amd Athlon II X2 3.4
500GB HHD
ECS A960M-M3 AM3+ AMD 760G + SB710 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
8GB DDR3 1333
and no GPU
trying to find something thats not exactly "expensive" but not too cheapy either.
Games im wanting to play with this friend?
Diablo 3,
Battlefield 4
maybe stuff like Napoleon total war..etc

Thank you for your input.

A 3.5GHZ Athlon II X2 would probably be the Athlon II X2 270: http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/K10/AMD-Athlon%20II%20X2%20270%20-%20ADX270OCK23GM%20%28ADX270OCGMBOX%29.html
The logisys PSU is one of the poorest, and the CPU will bottleneck a high end card. But check the nameplate of the PSU. If this is it: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817170019
...it is too cheaply made and has too small a +12V rail for a suitable gfx card. The best card I'd feel safe with using with that PSU is maybe a GT 630 or R7-240.

so, thats what the build currently consists of?

if youre trying to build the rig entirely out of spare parts, it would be helpful to list what parts you have at your disposal.

obviously a gpu is needed for gaming, and a cpu upgrade would certainly be beneficial

I slapped in my Logisys 550W from my previous Gaming machine, my apologies.
As for the GPU? I dont have any spare GPU's that are worth mentioning, thats why im looking for community opinion. I Know what i use in my own system but im not spending that much :/

As for resolution? I was thinking 1600x900 since I already have a monitor to give him.

As for CPU Upgrade? I Figure the Dual core will work for now, when i upgrade in a couple months He can have my FX 6300

a 630? are you serious? I had a 550Ti and upgraded to a GTX 760 with that PSU. granted I had a Phenom II x4 in my system at the time instead of a Dual core. but how can a completely lowest-of-low end 630 be your recommendation?

Yes, I'm serious. I would not, can not recommend anything like that with that PSU I linked to. Sorry. But you are free to do as you please.
Maybe yours is not the one I linked to.
