I have a dell precision 490 running dual cpus (x5160s), and want a PSU upgrade to a new 1kw PSU to run a R9 280X 3gb GDDR5. Problem is, I have conflicting info with my MoBO requiring a 24 atx + 20 pin mini atx connector. Would a simple 20 + 4 atx psu handle what I need?
