Hi, I overclocked a i5 3570k to 4.0 a long time ago (4-6months) since i probably last used it.

It ended up overheating / burning out but I don't know how or why as I wasn't gaming at the time. I was just using the internet.

Basically I want to know should i tell intel i overclocked the cpu? Because I want to get a replacement. Thanks.

Just tell them it suddenly stopped working. Let them figure out the problem. For all you know, it could have just died and had nothing to do with your overclocking it.

Right, Thanks. Will contact them tomorrow. Do you know if you have to pay for shipping or anything to return it?

RMA policy differs from country to country. It is best if you ask the shop where you bought it from or ask Intel directly.
