Hi Guys,

First sorry for my bad English :p

I got an Intel core i5 3570k with a stock cooler (going to change that soon) but i'm getting an idle CPU temperature of 80 degrees. When gaming it comes to 95 degrees. I know it's way to high but even on a stock cooler i shouldn't be that high. Haven't done any overclocking.

Cpu cooler is running on 2300 RPM should i crank that up a bit or should that normaly do the job?

Thanks in advance

What program are you using to check your temps?
I would try reapplying thermal paste. There is no way it should run at 80 degrees. Something is not working as it should. And most commonly it is thermal paste being put on wrong. You will need to clean off all the old paste with rubbing alcohol and a paper towel. Then just apply a pea sized amount to the very center of the CPU, and DO NOT spread it around. When you put the CPU cooler back on it will spread evenly. That is an common, easy, and inexpensive attempt to resolve the problem. If that doesn't work, then something is most likely wrong with your CPU or motherboard.

Well in my bios and used realtemp and CPU termomether.
It got down to 75 now when sitting in the bios for a few minutes.
CPU vcore is at 1.116 v should be the stock or by my motherboards optimized defaults.
