Devices break. It is probably broken.
Is this something you rent from them, or something you own?

Same exact thing happened to me yesterday and at&t told me the same thing they told you. I just got this service two weeks ago and now this. They said it was broken and they said they are sending a replacement modem. Make sure you get your account credited for the days you go without service.

Well my replacement modem came in today and I hooked it up and still have the same problem. Contacted AT&T again and they are sending out a tech tomorrow evening.

same thing happened to me. tech came and checked out line good, just replaced modem. then same thing happened, except this time with all red bars, and they came and replaced modem again. they said if have to come a third time will probably charge $99 (even though they don't know what's up). I think a hacker or malicious program is killing the modem. first time happened after 2 hour crackle session, 2nd time happened while watching a free movie on mega-something

Did you try a factory re-set of the router? Dial-up works fine ...but so-slow!

I am trying to get a different Router tonight, but if that fails I don't know what is next...
