The latest one, 1701, I already read that it supports my CPU.

Look in the bios and see if there are any settings that look wrong and to see if the bios can see 6 cores or not.

I've already went into bios and checked, it says:
3rd and 4th cores-Enabled
5th and 6th cores-Enabled

Have you reinstalled windows since upgrading? What CPU did you have before?

Are you saying you last installed windows with the Phenom before you upgraded the CPU? If so reinstalling windows will most likely fix it.

I had the Phenom when i upgraded to Windows 8.1 2 months ago or something like that, so I need to reinstall Windows 8.1 then?

Have you reinstalled windows (not updated but reinstalled from scratch) since installing the new CPU? If not do so.

I swap cpu's all the time without doing a re-install and never have a problem.

@bmacsys
Well the 1st and 2nd cores aren't able to be changed, they are enabled from the beggining.
@simon12
I installed Windows 8.1 when I had the phenom, from Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.

If you can't find anything wrong in the bios (and have tried resetting it to default) I suggest you try a windows reinstall

So u mean just putting in the CD and launching it from the desktop and just reinstall? Won't I lose everything on my PC then?
