I need some quick help. I recently had to reinstall os/x due to a black screen of death. After installing the os I enabled the login screen and disabled the show users option and thought nothing of it. I'd put the pack to sleep. Open it up and type my password and get in.

Well I had to powercycle it and the login screen now shows and what I thought my username was doesn't work. I know the password, does anyknow know what the default user name is or the userid # is? Or another option? I'm going to try single user mode next.

    Thanks!

How do you know the password works if the username doesnt? Im sure there is no default name and how the heck would we know the user name? Figure it out or contact Apple. No one here can help you with password issues.
