TLDR Basically: At 16 I'm finally able to afford a gaming PC! This will be my first time building a PC. I mainly play FPS games so this build is all about fps rather than graphics. I'll mainly be playing at low to medium settings so I can get the highest frame rates as possible but there are plenty of games that I do want really high graphics such as Witcher 3, Cyberpunk 2077 and future fallout games etc. That's why I went with a graphics card possible of high end games but nothing too crazy. Also, I was going to cheap out on a lot of the parts but then I realized I'm going to be working hard to get this and I want this to last quite a while and be able to upgrade it. I'll be buying these parts within the next 4-6 months. Most likely all at once but we'll see. Down below I went over why I decided on each part so skip it if you don't like reading.
I went with the i5 because there are plenty of FPS games that are more cpu demanding than graphics.
With the mobo I didn't want anything fancy. Kept it simple and made sure it was able to support Usb 3.0
Read up here that with ram and gaming it really doesn't matter if you have 1x8 or 4x2 so I found the cheapest that was at good quality and it happened to be 1x8. I also wanted DDR3-1600 so yeah...
I was going to cheap out on the case but thankfully I didn't Found a really nice case at a good price. Great reviews and it even has tons of PC builds with it on YouTube.
80+ Bronze PSU because gold doesn't matter apparently and it's from corsair so it's most likely a quality product.
Peripherals: 144hz monitor because I care about frames over everything else really. Went with a ten keyless keyboard because I don't need a number pad on the right and it's just taking up space. Instead of getting a crappy sounding "gaming" headset that probably has a crappy mic I went with getting an entry level pair of headphones that have good reviews and are from a source that I really trust and I went with a ModMic because the sound quality is awesome. Zowie mouse because it's minimal and nothing crazy. I'm all about simplicity. Also, I'll be getting a very large mousepad from either Zowie or Corsair or Razer.
