I want to get a watercooling kit from alphacool and I am wondering will i be able to fit push pull in my phantom 820. I believe the radiator is 60mm thick so will it fit.

More about : push pull phantom 820

Each fan is an inch thick. That's 25 mm. So add it up. 2 fans plus the radiator is 110mm. DO you have a measuring tale? o you have a little more than 110 mm space where you want to install the radiator?

• High-end water cooling solutions: 90mm of internal top space with top 280/360mm This is straight from nzxt's website does that mean it won't fit, I will mount it in the top. I was going to measure it but I lost the measuring tape the same day.

Well, I'm not sure they were planning on an Alphacool kit with push/pull radiators. I can't measure for you, and since you have lost your measuring tape, we'll have to go with standard dimensions. You can verify the measurements from the specifications pages of the various components.

You know the radiator is 60mm thick (or so you said in the OP) - that's thick, a lot thicker than most standard radiators. Make sure they don't quote the dimensions with a fan attached, since it would almost seem that way.

If not, then add to the dimension the thickness of each fan and refer to the tet you quoted as for how much space there is. If you exceed that space, you are out of luck or something.

You may want to consider a single push configuration with high static pressure fans. Or get a different case.

Ok Thanks, Also should I put them in push or pull and should I use as intake or exhaust. PS: I will mount it up top.

Also the website isn't clear about the specs.

Push and out... :)  heat flows upwards.

Should i get the one with a 45mm thick radiator and do push pull or should I do push with the 60mm thick one.

This is what they call a catch-22 situation. :D  Push-pull is most effective on thicker radiators. SO push-pull would be more effective on a 60mm radiator than a 45mm radiator, but you don't have enough space for a push-pull configuration in a 60mm radiator where it would be most effective.

If it was me, I'd go with the 45 mm radiator and push-only. Everything is mush more sure to fit, and is should cool well, except if you're going in for extreme overclocking?

I did see in a thread some days back (searching doesn't bring it back up.) that some place sells an external kit (shield or something>) so that you can mount a fn or radiator on the outside of the case with it still looking nice. Maybe some all-knowing case modder or overclocker will chime in with a link? If not you may want to ask in a new thread.

I will maybe do slight overclocks but not much. So it should cool my FX 6350 good than?
