I Want a Lenovo K410 G2020 2.90GHz CPU Upgrade?

Hello Guys! I own a Lenovo ThinkCentre K410 G2020 4GB DDR3 of ram. I am looking to upgrade the CPU. I already checked the website and it seems that there are two different motherboards for this system. I could not identify the motherboard of my computer. I am not even sure if there are really two motherboards for this computer. Anyways, would anybody tell me if I could upgrade this computer to a i3-3220 computer processor? Thanks in advance guys!

Hi OP,

Let me teach you something valuable. How to know if we could upgrade the processor for our laptop? Easy. The Motherboard Socket. Your laptop is using LGA1155 socket which has 'swappable' cpu feature i.e., you can upgrade your processor, even to i7!

Here's the list of processors, you can upgrade to -

I I7 3770K 3.5/1600/8/1155 77 E1 CPU

I I7 3770 3.4/1600/8/1155 77 E1 CPU

I I5 3570K 3.4/1600/6/1155 77 E1 CPU

I I5 3550 3.3/1600/6/1155 77 E1 CPU

I I5 3450 3.1/1600/6/1155 77 E1 CPU

I I3-3220 3.3/1600/3/1155 55 L1 CPU

I I3-3240 3.4/1600/3/1155 55 L1 CPU

I I5 3330 3.0/1600/6/1155 77 E1 CPU

I I5 2320 3.0/1333/6/1155 95 D2 CPU

I SNB Ci3 2120 3.3/3M/1155/65/GT1 Q0

I I3 2130 3.4/1333/3/1155 65 Q0 CPU

I G640 2.8/3/1066/1155 65 Q0 CPU

The one that is bold in text is your choice. My answer is Yes, you can upgrade to i3.

Sadly, there are only two compatible motherboards for your laptop and they are as follows -

ECS H61 MATX 1.0 95W MB @RTL8111F_A662

MSI Z75 MATX MB MP MB@RTL8111E_ALC892
