Hello,
I have an issue that JUST popped up in Windows 7. My color and resolution in extend desktop mode is all sorts of messed up. When I switch to PC only or Duplicate modes with win+p, it looks correct.

I have tried reboot. I have checked all connections. My video card is an Nvidia 760 and I had the latest official drivers but I tried updating to a newer beta version and a prior official version.

The issue does not affect the BIOS splash screen. There have been no recent hardware or software changes. The problem happened the moment I double clicked the Steam shortcut.

OS: Win 7 Professions 64 bit
Mobo: MS-7821
CPU: i5-4670k @ 3.40 ghz. (stock clocked)
Memory: 12288MB
GPU: Geforce GTX 760

Thanks in advance for any troubleshooting tips or solutions.

UPDATE: This issue is reproducible by starting Steam. Regardless of display mode, my desktop immediately resembles the extended screen shot above. Switching modes will "reset" it back to normal for PC and Mirror. But Extended is completely borked.

UPDATE 2: System restore did correct the issue. I am a little concerned since I still don't know what the exact cause was. But the behavior is gone.

Solution
Since that you already tried uninstalling, rebooting, and then reinstalling the drivers, I would suggest that you try a Windows System Restore to a previous date that worked.
