Hi guys, I need your help..=) I will be building my first rig but I have no experience at all..=( I have currently come up with a list of items to put together in my Rig, but the problem is, I'm not sure if it's compatible. I'm afraid I might mess up the whole system, or even worse the whole CPU overheat and catch fire...=(

Below are the items i'm going to put in it,

Processor - Intel Core i7 4790 3.6GHz
MotherBoard - MSI Z97 Gaming 7 (IS Gaming 7 better or the GD65 Gaming)
Memory - G.Skill DDR3 2133 CL 9 (8GB Kit) 4GB x 2 [Ripjaws-X] F3-17000CL9D-8GBXM
Hard Drive - Western Digital Caviar Black 2TB SATA3 WD2002FAEX
Graphic Card - MSI Geforce GTX770 4GB Gaming N770 TF 4GD5/OC

Optical Drive - Samsung 24x DVDRW SH224DB Black
PC Case - Corsair Obsidian 550D
Power Supply - Seasonic Platinum 1000W
Operating System - Microsoft Windows 8.1 64-Bit OEM
CPU Cooler - Coolermaster TPC 812
Case Fan - Corsair SP120 12cm Fan Performance Edition (2350 rpm)
Monitor - Samsung 24 Inch

I'm going to use my com mostly for playing games like BF4 etc.., watching movies and internet browsing...
Will my Rig work..?? Will it be stable on the long run and for long hours..?? and can I just buy one graphic card instead of two cuz i got no more money for two..=(

Thx U everybody..=)

it is all compatible, and will run games on very high-ultra settings no problem, however there are a few tings i would change: if this is only for gaming, an i5 will perform the same for $100 less. i would get the i5 4690K. the 770 is a great card, but it only has 2gb vram. from the money saved off the cpu, get a good R9 290/X/ or 780 /Ti/. also, 1000watts is overkill for one graphics card, i would get a ~600-750 high quality psu. and yes, one graphics card is better than 2 cheaper ones.

EDIT: sorry, didnt see you had the 4gb vram version of the 770, and as i7baby has stated, dont get that, get a 290/X/ or 780 /Ti/

You don't need a Z97 motherboard unless you want to fit 2 graphics cards. H87 is cheaper.

You should only get a 2gb 770. Else get a Gigabyte R9 290 for the same price - better performance.

You won't need a 1000W power supply unless you are adding another gtx770.

You can buy just one gtx770. What makes you think otherwise?
