Hello Guys ! i am facing a little problem with my GPU i've recently bought a new Gigayte Radeon R9 270x 4 GB OC edition. The problem is that after some time while playing my display suddenly diappears and a black screen appears saying "No Signal" after that when i restart my pc and then it works.I have no clue what is causing this so any suggestion would be appreciated. My specs are as follows:

Intel core i5 3450 3.1ghz
intel DH61WW motherboard
12 GB Ram
Cooler master EX2 625w supply
Windows 7 64 bit

and also i have latest driver installed catalyst version 14.4.Thanks

Meant the first or top pci-express x16 slot. If the computer works with integrated grahics and your old card then most likely you got a bad card return or rma it. Pci-express 3.0 is backwards compatible with 2.0 also.

I can't understand what "Top PCI-e slot" is but a few days back when i had my hd6790, my pc was fine. With Integrated graphics it works OK.With r9 270x display rarely goes but when it does i have to restart. At first i thought it was voltage problem so i upgraded to cooler master but still same...I think it's compatibility problem since my motherboard can support 2.0 while r9 270x has 3.0.What do you guys help needed.....??

hmm there's another thing whenever i start my pc the fans of my card start a bit late i guess 3 to 5 seconds late and when i inserted my new card for the first time it gave no display and after reading some threads over internet i found that it was my BIOS version so i updated my BIOS to latest version and then it worked. But then this issue started. Is this related to BIOS or should i reinstall windows and drivers and check it for the last time before i rma it???

Hello Everyone! i couldn't return the card till now but i m planning to do.Actually i contacted gigabyte support and they said that i should make some test. So I shifted my whole pc from my previous room to a another, which was no test at all, and after that the card seems to work perfectly.I've been playing for a lot of time since then and not even a single time its display went off and no fans stopping this time. It's funny isn't it :).But still i m thinking of returning.so any suggestions??

Hello Guyz.I returned the card but they found no fault and said that it's working Ok and they told me that my power supply had something to do with this problem. So i'll have to change the psu again and seriously i hate that and also i am low on budget.Any way thanks.

I have again contacted the manufacturer and they said that they'll let me know the next day.Let's see what happens but i have two options ahead.Either it's PSU or it's my shit mobo or hard disk. But it can't be mobo as it is compatible with r9 270x.Guyz do recommend me some good Psu's.My budget is $65.
