Ok, my motherboard has 2 pcie slots. One is PCIe x1 gen 2.x and one is PCIe x16 gen 2.x
I wanna buy a video card Nvidia GT 630 which has a PCIe 2.0. Its not specified whether it is x1, or x16? So will it work? Thanks

your slots should be stated as 2-pci-e 2.0 x16 or as like intel z boards 1 -pci-e 3.0x16 2- pci-e 3.0@ 8x8

the card must be pci-e standard. not just pci or agp

No, there is only written pcie 2.0 x1 and x16 in my motherboard but the video card only says pcie 2.0. So will it be fine with my motherboard? The video card doesnt say anything like x1 or x16 or x4 or x8

I haven't seen an x8 or x1 video card, so as long as you have an x16 slot, its going to fit.

PCIE 2.0 is just a generation. New one is PCIE 3.0 (only for top videocards it will need)
But we are talking about PCIEx lines: it can be 1,4,8,16.
As you said - your mobo have PCIEx1 and PCIEx16.
In slot of PCIEx16 you can fit any PCIE videocard.
Nvidia GT 630 will fit your motherboard.
