hello there.

i want to build a new pc for gaming and with the help of this fourm i came up with this:

Motherboard: ASRock Z87M Extreme4 Sockel 1150 M-ATX

CPU: Intel Core i5-4670

Ram: Corsair Vengeance CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 8GB DDR3 Kit

Storage: Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM003 1TB, 7200U/min, SATA3, 3.5"

GPU: ASUS Radeon R9 280X-DC2T-3GD5 3GB GDDR5

PSU: XFX Core Edition Pro 850 Watt

case: Aerocool Strike-X GT schwarz/rot

i am going to buy another 280x in the future will the PSU and CPU be fine with it?

and if you have any comment please tell me.

Thank you.

Solution
The case is not the best quality. It is kind of designed to sell on looks, not functionality.

Stick with Antec, Cooler Master, Corsair, Bitfenix, Fractal Design, NZXT for quality cases.

Yes, the 850w XFX is perfectly fine for two 280x's although 750w is plenty as well.

The i5 can handle way more powerful setups than CF 280x's. No issue there.

Ur system looks good. Clarify few details like is 8GB RAM in 2X4GB or 1X8GB sticks.
Personally, I would recommend you to change ASRock Z87M Extreme4 Sockel 1150 M-ATX to Gigabyte GA-Z97MX-Gaming 5(future-proof).
Take a SSD of 120GB to install and play games(increased performance). Lastly, keeping in mind that u are going to add another 280x GPU then it's also safer to take a Thermaltake TPG-700M 80+ Platinum 700W PSU.

His ram is 2x4gb.

SSDs do not increase game performance at all. ONLY load time. You will not get ANY more FPS out of an SSD vs a HDD.

I do not recommend that Thermaltake PSU. The XFX is much better quality. Just because it says platinum does not mean it is a quality unit. XFX PSUs are just Seasonics with different stickers. As good as you can get.

any suggestion for an atx board? and if the money is no issue should i keep the 850w psu? just for future upgrades? and will the i5-4670 CPU handle the two 280x just fine?

finaly how about the case?

Yeah its true that SSD only helps to load any installed software, games or whatever more faster than normal HDDs. Thats why I didnt mention increase in FPS while recommending SSD. About, PSU... I have been using it for a long time now without any issues. But i didn't knw abt that sticker part about seasonics! Thnx for that info...

Dunno about the case, but the 280x is a power hungry card so definitely keep that PSU if you're planning to crossfire.

Everything should be fine except, change your mobo to a Z97 (future proof) If the price is suitable for you get a CPU cooler hyper 212 evo, etc and a 4690k about $20-30 more than your current CPU. Also you could replace the 7200 RPM drive with a 1TB SSHD ($10-20 extra but gives double load speeds)

And also replace the 850W psu with 750w XFX version :) You don't need that extra 100w left over from crossfiring? Hope this helped you :)

No problem. Seasonic is as good as it gets. Antec, XFX, Seasonic are the PSUs you want.
