Hi, I'm here because my built PC is shutting down by itself. What happens is when it stats, it makes 2 beeps, and about 30 seconds after, it makes 4 beeps, after what it shuts down by itself, I tried with my video card and without it, should I try with my monitor? I just got windows yesterday and i'm afraid to do the code right before my pc shut down or something. I have no thermal glue right now so I can't do anything about the CPU cooler (which is a fan)

Look in the motherboard manual under 'Beep Codes' - it will explain what 4 beeps mean.

2 beeps are not listed[???] the 4 beep maybe the vid card -- have you pulled it out wipe ''golden'' fingers and reinsert it in the slot pull it back out and insert it back in it insure it ''scratches'' in a good contact in the slot??

according to that 2ed link I posted it still may be that case fan or fans unplug them and just have the cpu fan hooked up and see ..as you can see the one beep passed post then it seems the hw monitor is seeing something wrong [4 beeps] and shutting down
I'll try with my monitor plugged then, not right now, I gotta do something about how frustrated I am (more than a year of saving with my brother, mother etc asking me for money when they had no change)

It was pre pasted, I thought about it and maybe there isn't enough paste. about the fan, I tried without it and it still does not work.

Best solution
well it may be the issue don't know for sure if you got to the bois and watch the monitor in the bios and see what the cpu temp is wile sitting in the bios it may be shooting up real fast if so then you know the paste may need to be replaced [look at your manual to see where the hw monitor is in the bios

put the bios at optimized default set the clock
usb device over current status detected-- this I don't know about but if you set the bios to defult it should bee good [???] if not it may be a bad usb hub on the board

I don't really know how to change the BIOS, before having that on my screen, I have a little bit of time to boot something if I press delete, but my keyboard doesnt work if I plug it on the front of the case, im going to try the first link you linked

best to always have a cheap backup k-board with a ps-2 plug ..you can pick up one at Wal-Mart for around $5-10 like now would be a good time to have one to test this

also could the usb plug on the k-board be the issue and has the short in it ??usb device over current status detected disappeared, it says now 10 seond before continuing, after this page, it says reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in proper boot device and press a key. I used the newegg video to build my pc, i'll use the same to boot it, I just don't get the message it told me x_x

so now its a merry-go-round of issues hmmm..
I hate to bring this up but my last asus was this way my buddies last asus was this way and his sons last asus was this way all am3+ every time you booted it up it was something it may run fine for a week then it may be bsod ing for the next two days then be fine then wount boot on and on and on ..
my buddy always had built asus but that last one changed his thinking .. I wount look at another one it was my 2ed and my last-- his son said he never seen anything like what his went through to get it to work we all changed out the boards with other brands and reused all the parts from off the asus boards and all work fine on them on issues so I really don't have much good to say about asus at the moment lots of sales hype low on quality in my book
when it one issue coming up it can be tracked down but if it changes as you go then ......

2 things to look at be sure you did not knock the sata cable loos between the drive and the board and also if you installed windows on the drive and the drive was set to achi check to see if that's did not change if the drive is set up for ahci in the bios and the setting now shows ide or raid it will give that error

just play with what you got now and see what comes up as you go no need downloading stuff that you may not need and end up back where you just been

Ahah yeah, right now the 2 problems I have is that the screen doesn't fill the whole monitor and that I cannot connect to the internet via wifi. I will look more into that.
