Hi guys,

Current setup is:

A6-5400k
FM2 A55m-E33
Sapphire R7 260x
4gb HyperX Black
500gb Seagate Barracuda
VS450w
N200 chassis
AOC 18.5" LED monitor
generic kb/mouse(sorry, I'm poor)

Want to transfer to Intel.
Will probably get an i5 4440 + Asus H97M-PLUS or Vanguard
An IPS monitor - Asus XV239H
Add another 4gb stick ram, or sell this one and get a 4gbx2 kit.
Will sell the HDD and get a 1TB WD Black or blue.
No ideas for KB/Mouse yet.

Which should I upgrade first? Can't afford to do them at the same time.
Will I get a drastic, noticeable change in performance?
Any advise?

Yes, exactly what I'm looking at.

Just want to know, in what order should I get them?

I know I should get the proc+mobo at the same time.
But which should I get first? The monitor? The proc+mobo? Or?

Yes , with that i5 you will see huge performance improvement , I think around 40 % improvement in CPU intensive tasks will improve , ( from zipping , unzipping files to games and ever day tasks like browsing etc ) , I recommend you to buy the ram first and later buy ,CPU and mobo together, so you will be able to test them at once after buying. Also you will need a new installation of windows to work with new hardware, (it can be done with existing windows but to tell you the truth it's gonna be extremely trouble some , )generic key board and mouse are good enough for most users ( I use 2nd hand but high quality keyboard and mouse and they are cheap and good enough )
Get monitor at last , because them your pc will be upgraded.

I would go Monitor first step,
Ram, HDD, mouse/keyboard second,
Them mobo/processor.
You wont get 15$ for a used HDD. Just keep it.
Dont try and mix ram either. Just leads to problems.
Did you need an OS as well?

You can take advantage of the new display right away. The Ram can be used in the existing system till you get the new mobo/processor. To get the mobo/processor first would require near the full amount up front. With doing it first you would need the Mobo, processor, Ram, HDD, and OS.

I read bad reviews about the devastator combo a while back. Can't find it anymore. Anyway, they are complaining about the bulkyness and sort of not responding after a few months of use? Not really sure if true though.

Yea, I actually prefer the "ergonomic" keyboards to game on.

But what you suggested is true though.
With a new monitor, I cant take advantage of the full depth of colors since mine only falls under "generic". It's still good but not really good enough for HD movies.

I don't really have a problem with my system now. Since I mostly just play DotA 2, a few offline games like BF3 and office works. I just have a thought that I might be bottleneck(ing) my GPU with my APU, and somewhat feels like I'm holding down the true power of my GPU? Not sure about this one too. Lol.

So yeah, would definitely consider getting a monitor first.

The A6 isnt gonna bottleneck the 260x. 260x isnt the greatest, really only entry level at best.
