Good gaming rig at a reasonable price

Solution

If AMD focused on increasing the speed of each core, I would jump ship to AMD to go for the more cores. But since they suck at CPU intensive tasks, no thanks.

You need to know what you want to do with your computer. If you want to run a bunch or programs at once (more than 10), go AMD. But if you want more raw CPU power, go intel.

But if you're looking to stay in an all AMD PC, then go up to the FX-8350, as it will outperform the fx-6300

Your gaming is really a beast. But try to get FX 8350 so you can benefit in future. And if you have a really good budget then just go with GTX 760.It can beat R9 270x with ease..Anyway if you are going with that build, you can max out every game at 1080p.No suggestions needed if you have no more budget. But anyway your rig is good and future proof toooo.HAPPY GAMING

I would switch over to an Intel-based computer. AMD CPUs have low single-core speeds, so running most programs will be faster on an Intel based machine.
Here's one that I'll be building later this summer: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Nrmgator/saved/cjPKHx
You can switch the GPU over to the R9-270X, but in terms of CPU power, the i3 will dominate the FX-6300

Not bad, but skip that memory. First up, AMD doesn't have the best memory controller, so you want memory that is fast as possible (while still being reasonably priced). The memory you picked was

CMV8GX3M2A1600C11

This has timings of 11-11-11-30 @ 1600mhz for $75.00

You could get an 1866 kit without shopping very hard such as this model:

F3-14900CL9D-8GBSR - G.SKILL Sniper Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3

This one has timings of 9-10-9-28 @ 1866mhz. In other words, it's about 20% faster on the timings and it's also about 20% faster on the speed - and it's only $15.00 more.

Next suggestion, you're getting a FX processor, which can be overclocked easily enough with a little multiplier changing, yet you're staying with the box cooler. I would consider possibly picking up a better tower style cooler - but that's also something simple that could be added down the road.

Everything else looks good though, and that's a killer price on 290x.
