I've been looking at AMD CPUS and a specific one is the AMD FX 8350. How well would this work with a R9 280x? Can it run Arma 3 and Dayz on ultra without issues? And also games like battlefield? I'm on a tight budget and would prefer avoiding spending extra money on a intel CPU.
People say they are terrible but i find that hard to believe. Thanks in advance- Nick

P.S I will have 8gb of ram in my build and don't really know how to overclock and cant afford to spend more money on liquid cooling

Mine does, you should be fine.

The 8350 is trash on older games compared to intel processors, or even compared to cheaper AMD processors (mainly games that rely on DirectX9). Its fine for newer games that take advantage of more threads. Its not incredible, but its passable. Fanboys can cherry pick benchmarks for years to come that prove the 8350 can be better than an i5 or worse than an i3. Bottom line, it performs like a $180 processor should.

It all comes out in the wash, you will like it.

Yes, the processor and graphic card are great to play Arma 3, DayZ and Battlefield 3/4. You will be able to play on ultra smoothly, don't worry. Just make sure to have a good thermal paste applied and a cooler; protect your processor! 8Gb is already enough by the way.
