IF you CTRL ALT DELET and look at the performance monitor, I bet CPU and ram usage is high as well. Download a bootable virus scanner (to be put on disk). My experience, these issues are cause by viruses. Even if you do not download anything dodgy. Is it not worth trying my suggestion though? you came to the forum asking for suggestions/opinions.
