Hi guys!
I'm looking for a video card for my new PC. I thought I could play BF4 (In HD, with medium settings) on it without a videocard, because it has an AMD A10 6800k APU, but I was wrong. So now I'm looking for a cheap, yet powerful video card to handle the task.
My budget is 250 $.

Also, I might be looking for an AMD configuration with an FX and a dedicated GPU.

Forgot about what I said before, I don't want to change my motherboard. I'm just looking for something to work together with the APU.

Go for the GTX 770, or if you have a bit more cash, the GTX 780

Are you sure they can work together with the APU? I'm not english so I can't express this very well, but I don't mean they are not compatible, I'm asking whether they can "help" the APU.
Because I'm pretty sure they don't... And I think there may be errors caused by the integrated AMD GPU and the Nvidia dedicated GPU.

Again, I'm asking if they can do dual graphics.
Also, both are a bit over my budget.

go for a nvidia 760. since its right in your price range your better off with that. Nvidia runs cooler and uses less power. I had trouble with both my amd cards driver wise. they have gotten better since then but i want the best now so off to nvidia.
My friend bought a Asus 760 and it runs well.
these two are right below your buget and have rebates

will not matter if cpu or apu, will work just fine. you can disable intergrated graphics

Guys, I really need some help. I just bought the R9 and installed it. However, it doesn't work. I start the computer, everything seems to work fine, however the video card is not even detected by CPU-Z and the APU is on control.

wait try to go into bios and disable on board video. and that may work. also be sure the monitor is plug into the video card. which r9 did you get?
