Hello,

After having been a rubber dome user for a long time, I'm discovering that Cherry MX Browns really aren't quite what I was expecting for typing and gaming.

My question is, are Cherry MX Reds closer or less like a rubber dome's feel, and are they suited for typing?

Solution
If you want to type and game you are looking for blues. If you are looking for RTS gaming you are looking for reds but you will get typos more often. I first bought a Logitech G710+ with browns, hated it and went to reds. I love the reds for my RTS games like starcraft 2. It sucks for doing work though.

It's all preference, you should see if any stores around you sell them and will let you try them out. I use blacks and they're pretty good general purpose switches. They're the same as red but you need to apply more pressure to depress the keys (more than a membrane, while red require less).
