I was wondering if these will support my i7-4790k without having to update the bios etc?

Both of them are compatible, and the Asrock Z97 Pro4 is the best of the 2

Z97 motherboards are ready for Devil's canyon processors. The fatality is better.

The Fatal1ty still is better. I don't know what "features" the "Z97 Pro" or "Extreme3" has and the Fatal1ty not.
