I am trying to decide whether or not I should upgrade my current platform, or build an entirely new PC based on Intel. Currently, I have an AMD FX-6100 with a GTX 560 Ti 448. I was thinking about getting the FX-8350 Black Edition and GTX 760, but I am also looking at Intel. I have my eyes on the i5-3570K and ASRock Z77 Extreme4. Also, would the Noctua NH-U12S CPU fan be good for overclocking the i5?

I would upgrade based upon my motherboard. If you have an AM3+ socket motherboard, then get the 8350. The Noctua is one of the best air coolers on the market. You will be able to overclock either CPU with it at least to 4.5Ghz.

If you have an AM3+ mobo, get the 8350 and use the money saved on an even better GPU.
