Windows 8 product key not working. :(

Good day!

I have a problem with my WIndows 8.. it seems that my product key is not working.
I just asked someone to install this Windows in a shop, legally if I may add.
And so when I used ProduKey/Belarc Advisor etc. to find the product keys of the Windows, it doesn't work. I haven't tried asking the employee who installed it though, but I'm guessing he'll give me the same instructions. Please help!

The product key is in your win8 dvd's case or on the sticker they were supposed to attach to your pc. Depends which version you bought.
OEM versions (Theone you get with your HP,Dell...) the product key is built into the firmware usually.

Most likely your shop guys put a non legit copy of Windows on there and charged you full tilt for a legit copy. Wouldnt be the first time that has happened. Or the millionth.

If they installed Windows 8, they are required to give you the license key...not make you dig it out via Belarc.

If they didn't, and it now reports back non-genuine, then they installed a non genuine or pirated key.

Your options are thus:
1. Report them and throw your self on the mercy of Microsoft.
2. Go back to the shop and demand they make things right. (they won't)
3. But your own license.

(But = buy - damn typos)

If you threaten hard enough to do #1, #2 might work.
