Will buying i5 or i7 help with fps?

Hello, i'm currently using a year old system with AMD A8 quadcore and Sapphire 7870 XT GPU. I'm getting between 24-50 fps while playing WatchDogs on medium. And it lags a bit while driving.Would buying new CPU helps with fps?

Yes. As much as you would like though, probably not. You'd have to replace your motherboard too so you are talking probably in the 300-400 dollar range for a good combination... if that gets your FPS to 34-60 would it be worth it?

I got around 1000k usd to spend, i don't know if i should spend it on new GPU or CPU...I watched a few vids on youtube which shows that i can achieved around 50-60 fps with i7+7870 xt combination..Fake maybe..
