So lately, I've been wanting to dabble more into Valve's Steam more graphic-heavy games, instead of just Team Fortress. and You have to Win the Game.
You see, my graphics card isn't all that powerful, it is an integrated one, (of course) an Intel(R) HD Graphics, by Can You Run It?'s standards, I can't even play Portal 2
So, I was wondering if I could get a PCIe/External graphics card that is powerful enough to play games like Dark Souls 2 and etc. on a laptop
Here are my specs, and my budget
Laptop Name: HP EliteBook 8440p
Brand: HP
Processor: Intel Core i5 CPU M560 @ 2.67ghz turbo to 2.8
System Type: 64 Bit OS
Installed Memory (RAM) : 8.00 gigabytes 7.80 Usable
Graphics Card: Intel HD(R) Graphics
Chip Type: Intel HD(R) Graphics (Core i5)
DAC Type: Internal
Total Memory:1696
Budget for Graphics Card/Tools: $125
Please, If you also could add in a tutorial/detailed step-by-step so I don't mess up my precious Laptop. That would be amazing, cause I am not very good with messing around inside the computer. Also include any risks and etc.
Inclosing,
Thanks so much
