So I am going to build a gaming laptop. I have learned my lesson with name brands for the last time.

My main question here is: what is the best site to use? Xidax? Sager? cyberpowerpc? ibuypower? or are they all basically similar just with different casings?

Also, I don't know too much about computer parts, but this baffles my ignorant mind...can someone take this link: http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/category/notebook/

and scroll down to the 2nd row of laptops and look at the 2 on the left: xplorer x6-9300 and xplorer x6-9600. How is the 9600 $430 more? It looks like the only differences are graphics card and RAID support. oh and fingerprint scan. Is that really worth a $400 difference? the cheaper one is lighter too, which is a plus in my opinion.

Thanks all!

Id look at the coolmaster notepal series : http://www.amazon.com/Cooler-Master-NotePal-Cooling-R9-NBC-NPX3-GP/dp/B0079T2KHG/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1405652893&sr=1-1&keywords=coolermaster+notepal

The cooler is pretty pricey at $38 which is twice the price of some fans but its a high quality one so it shouldn't give you much problems. You can also get the xslim version too.

Liquid cooling system with a laptop is not possible only with desktops. The paste you are talking about is probably a paste that is put between the processor and heatsink to improve heat transfer and thus lower the temperature of your processor.

Ya there is no way that those few differences are worth over $400....

I have considered it but then I immediately realized I know absolutely 0 about putting parts together and doing all that, and would probably mess something up and dunno if I'd wanna risk it when a professional can just do it. Plus then is there even a warranty on the stuff? And i have no tools if any tools are needed which they must be.

No worries haha. Would you mind checking out xidax.com real fast and just give your opinion? Saw their ad via google I like their laptop cases a lot and they seem legit.

Additionally I should ask before I forget...laptop cooling systems..what's the best kind? Can you even use a liquid cooling system with a laptop? I heard of a paste or something, is that better than a fan?

ya that's pretty cool i'll definitely get one of those, the one i have now is broken. I guess the ultimate question I am going to have is for gaming laptop, what the best bang for your buck is for each part, or at least how much memory or speed, etc, you should have for each part. Like for a graphics card is 2GB good or should you get 6GB

I remember finding a guide before but can't seem to find it.
