I'm not sure if this is the correct catogory but, I have a really unusual problem with my graphics card for some reason my computer will only output via onboard HDMI the weird thing is is that my GPU is working while my HDMI is connected to the onboard video.. Is this normal? I have an MSI z68a gd65 mobo and an HD 7770 GPU any help would be appreciated

Did you install your GPU drivers?

Hello OP,

Make sure you install the latest drivers off the AMD website. If you go into your BIOS, you can mess around with the PCI properties, and is well worth a try.

Yeah I have all of the drivers the thing is that when when I plug the HDMI into my GPU my monitor doesn't receive output, this problem isn't in the GPU since I can confirm it works fine. I know its being used because my integrated graphics can't perform that well

Havent looked at the Manual yet

But looking at the MSI site and info that MB uses some interesting tech to allow 4 Crossfire... etc
Info on HMDI and all sorts of interesting configurations

Usually you would just Disable the onboard in bios - But with this MB you may have to select Primary options... Have a play

Manual is rubbish for gfx settings just a couple paragraphs...
Try moving the gfx card to other slot
With power off just plug monitor into gfx card only then pwr on
