CPU; AMD A10 3.8GHZ (Don't know how to overclock says turbo 4.2ghz)

Update the bios and chipset while your at it. Also try reseating your RAM and running a memtest.

At this point I would say faulty motherboard, does the computer feel like its running at 4g or 8?

Contact the motherboard support and see if they have solutions, most times they have this issues documented and can lead you in the right direction, but sometimes you get lazy techs and just give you generic answers.

Make sure you OS is 64-bit IF its 32-bit then it will not use more that 4gigs of RAM
