4 months ago bought an MSI R9 280x Gaming 3GB 384-bit GDDR5.

It has a Twin Frozr iv cooler on it. One or both of the fans aren't working properly. The card will begin to overheat if no external fan is blowing on it.

Can I repair the fans on the cooler or need some help maybe get a different cooler on it altogether.

Need some advice on this thanks. Don't want to spend too much to get this fixed.

you can get new fans for it on ebay and fix it $10-$20
or
get a new cooler and change the cooler on it $40-$100
or
RMA (cost of shipping)

1. If I replaced the cooler with something else would it mess up the factory over clock settings.?

2. How long would it take to rma?

I'm really not experienced in switching fans on the card itself.

3. What brand and part should I buy to replace the fan?

4. If I replace the cooler what's a recommended cooler I should get to put on an R9 280x?

1. no it would not mess up your overclock
2. some RMA are 3 days some are 3-4 weeks. (and RMA suck to do. only do if you have to)
3. i would say the MSI fans on ebay
4. and i would go with this one but the R9 280x is hard to find cooler that will fit it
