So, First thing is first i have the MSI 970A-G46 mother board, now, this has 6 sata ports on it, and due to a.....hickkup, the original 5-1 e/power sata cable i had, is now gone, meaning that now i must connect all my drives directly to the motherboard, this isnt a problem ,but if i can minimize sata port usage, i'd like to. Now, i purchased a 5-1 sata multipler from ebay.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/261274718976?lpid=82

to be exact. Now, i learned that most mobo's have to have a particular setting enabled to allow this as an option, and mine happens to be one, as seen here

https://ata.wiki.kernel.org/index.php/SATA_hardware_fea...

my motherboard has sata made by amd (sb950)

So, my main question, where can i go to enable this setting? i have one of those " click bios" deals so it's probably hidden somewhere, i am ALSO open to alternatives if someone has one worth mentioning, thanks in advance!

I might suggest you buy a sata add in board that fits in a pcie slot.
Something like this:
