HI,

Specs:
Fractal R4
Gigabyte GA-Z78x-D3H
i5-4670x
Hyper EVO 212
Palit 760 GTX
Seasonic 520w M12II-520
Corsair Vengeance 8GB

Symptoms:
Computer wont turn on

Problem:
Every time i have shut down my computer and when is want to turn it up again i have to disconnect 4/8 +12V power connector from psu and connect it again.

Possible reason that led to the problem:
I was trying slight overclock from bios, didnt get stable overclock even 4.3ghz with Vcore 1.285V i decided to load default setting from bios and first then replace my thermal paste from cpu.

Computer turned on just fine and was runnin`fine. I shut down my computer and turned it on again after i came home from work. Computer did turn on anymore without disconnecting power connector from PSU.

This is my first build up computer by myself and i dont have much knowledge with these.
I wanted to ask first here if someone has first hand experience or has some idea what could be wrong.

Thanks in advance

Well i would like think that i didnt shock it in anyway. Too much thermal paste came into my mind also in one possible reasons.
I may have to double check that.

Also thermal paste wasnt thick like pastes are usually, it was more liquid.

Eww, yeah that's bad, maybe it got too hot? I remember when I first started my first IT job I put a full tube and a half on a CPU, needless to say I killed it haha, lesson learned.

Take off the heatsink and take a peak, you want enough JUST to cover the top, nothing should be globbing over on the sides. Also if it was liquid and it all ran off, PCs wont work unless you have paste on.

Hi again

I decided first unconnect all wires from psu once more and connect them back.
And now it seems to work okay, so i guess i didnt push connect all the way in, stupid me.

Thanks awyway. i will leave this thread open for day or two so i can test it in long run.
