Maybe its overheating. Waht temps is it getting to. Have you overclocked it? What voltage bis it on? What fan speeds?

In Geforce Experience. Try clicking the "re-install driver" button. Perhaps that will help.

55C for your gpu while gaming is good. What voltage is it on?

Download HWInfo and run Sensors. Post the results - usually 3 screenshots in TinyPic or similar. This''l give me an idea of how well your pc is running - temps, voltages, fan speeds etc.

try re inserting the card into the pci slot.
Make sure the two power cables are firmly attached to the card.
Also make sure if there are any power indicators on the card that they are green and not red lit.
Also guru3d has a good tool tocompletely uninstall gpu drivers.
Try that also before reinstalling drivers.

I benchmarked it using unigine heaven 3.0 and I got 81c temp and after that got an error "D3D11appWindow::swap_window(): device removed" on windows 8.1
