OK guys, here's the deal.. I know that only GPT supports 3tb HDDs, I can make my old Windows 7 recognize it when I plug it as a slave and use disk manager and then convert it to GPT but I can't install Windows 8 on it from scratch. I only recognizes 2tb max, I even tried to create a 1tb partition but it doesn't allow me cause it's GPT.
As far as I know my Mobo (Intel DX58SO) accepts UEFI boot (On the bios options, the UEFI Boot is enabled)

tnx

Gus

what do you mean by BOOT MENU? while booting a menu will appear or in the bios Boot section I have to choose the devices order?

I'll try it later today but as far as I remember from last night there's an option to set UEFI BOOT as ENABLE and that's it .. during boot it simply booted from my flashdrive .. it never gave me an option to choose from while booting

guys, I did it! thanks for the help.. what I did is I formatted an usb flashdrive to boot using Rufus and on the partition scheme i chose GPT partition for UEFI Boot .. then did the diskpart stuff and created a 750 gb partition.. after installation went to disk manager and extended the partition using the rest of the 2TB that was unallocated.
