Yesteday I was downloading some updates (101) for Windows 8.1 (manually via PC settings) on a fresh hard drive.
After approximatly 2 hours of downloading and installing I restarted the pc to finish the update.
During the boot up it said something like ''Configuring updates, preparing Windows, don't shut down computer'', after 1 hour (!) waiting it said that the installation failed and just brought me to the desktop.
Now I can't download Windows 8.1 either cause it requires me to install the latest updates first.
This also means that I could be downloading all my files (over 300GB of cloud storage for the third time) on a ticking timebomb.
Urgent help is needed.
