Anyone having problems with ASUS or above motherboard? I am thinking of buying it for i7 4690k .. what all things should I be worried about .. support? reliability? durability? I generally like to collect bad reviews first .. they are more honest =D

and if not, any happy users of asus or Asus Maximus VII Ranger 32GB DDR3 Intel Motherboard around? do you recommend it ?

It says it has 6 sata 3 ports .. but it doesnt mention it has any sata 2 ports .. so just to confirm, are sata 3 ports 100% backward compatible with sata 2.0 ? I dont want to dump my sata 2 storage drives yet .. I will use ssd boot but I need to use my other sata 2 drives too.

Am eagerly awaiting the release of the Ranger here in the States, thus far haven't heard anything bad about them...Asus had the best Z87 mobos and look to be doing the same with the Z97s (I picked up the Hero and have done builds with the Z97-A, WS and Pro also, all have been improved over the Z87 counterparts which were all great mobos)....and yes SATA ports are backward compatible.
