  1. The message is telling you that the computer is getting errors trying to read your hard drive. Boot from your Windows 7 install disc or a repair disc and do a repair.

    Good luck.

  3. bill got you covered just go buy a disk copy of windows and reinstall .. also is this a prebuilt ? [hp,dell, acer]

and did this happen right after you did the upgrade?
  4. yes it was a prebuild and the uprgade was a couple of years ago. do you mean I have to buy the os again?
  5. don't know if the upgrade has been fine and now just popped up it may be something now more like the drive just failed or the boards controller ?

if you got a desktop you can remove the drive and put it on another windows 7 computer and let its windows run the repair on your drive

  8. ya I had repaired a vista 64 on a XP32 rig and it did work at least to keep me going as I shopped around for this new build and I took my sweet time funny thing was I had the disk and could not repair but when I put the drive on with the xp and then ran the check disk from off xp it fix it so I wondered if I had another vista 64 rig here if it would of did a better repair job on it

but in the end it was back to being able to boot and stayed that way till I shut her down for good.
