i5 4460 temperature 38 degrees Celcius while not doing anything.

The temperature of the CPU is 38C and I'm not even doing anything. I literally just started it up for the first time and am in the BIOS.

This seems like a lot of heat, what should I do?

that explains everything. with such high ambient temps your cpu idle temp is very good actually!

It ran at 50 on idle?
I would, I bought some, but building the PC was sooo hard xD. I was so sure I broke something a few times. I'm installing the OS now, but I was 99% sure it wouldn't work, while I was building it.

Good point, it's about 30C in my room and madly humid, like I feel like I just got out of the shower.... But I'm drenched in sweat.

That's good, thank you so much.... That being said, the ambient temperatures worry me. Considering this is Newfoundland, Canada, I don't get why it's so hot now.
