hi

when i switch my tv off from the wall it takes days to come back on i know this has something to do with the tv's psu and im wanting to replace it but does it have to be the exact same one that i replace it with ? and does anyone know where to buy tv parts from ,, any help on this would be great thanks in advance,, mick

The PSU unit is a specialized PCB inside the TV. It's designed for the model and should be replaced with exactly the same one. By the way, why do you think it should be replaced? It can be repaired for example.

thanks for the reply ...

i kinda already knew that as i have electronics knowledge ive been doing pc repair for about 9 years now but never experienced tv's ive had a look at the caps and examined the board i do have a soldering iron but cant see anything so im just goin to go ahead and replace the whole PCB , just wanted to know if it has to be the exact board i replace it with and i think you answered my question .. thanks , mick :)
