Hey I built a new pc yesterday and it worked perfectly. But I left it in sleep mode over night and upon waking it up the graphics card disappeared from the bios and Windows won't detect it.

Now I only have the motherboard hdmi out working and that doesn't even have sound. Are motherboard hdmi's for some reason lacking in sound?

Please help I have cleared cmos and reinstalled windows. It was perfect yesterday now it's just a giant tablet. With less graphics.

It's an I7 4790k with a gtx 780 the psu is a corsair cx600 the motherboard is an Asus z97-k.

I'm not sure if it's the card, the motherboard or the psu not cutting it (even if it did last night)

Thanks for your time

So my friend came over with his gtx 660 and that worked fine in my motherboard, so I guess the card failed for whatever reason. In the process of getting a replacement from Amazon now. Could an underpowered psu cause that to happen? do you know of any examples?

Yes it could, the CX600 should have the power, but then again it's Corsairs entry level and there have been numerous complaints about the cheap caps, it may not be feeding full voltage to the GPU (a 660 on the other hand only needs about a good 450
