Built 1st PC, powers on for few seconds then shuts down

I turned on the PSU and heard no noise coming from that, then turned on the main power button, and a red LED light stays on along with the a blue LED light on the power button. The fans in the case spin fine however the CPU fan does not. Everything shuts down after a few seconds. Nothing appears on the monitor. Any suggestions on what the problem might be?

Did you plug in the CPU power on the top left of the motherboard?

Yes, that is plugged in. After tampering with some of the small PLED plugs on the MOBO and reconnecting the molexes, the computer has turned on. However, there is now no signal on the monitor...
