$1100 leaves ya just about short of the point where I would say you are well set for a while w/o upgrades for 3 -4 years. Always like to leave room foir a 2nbd GFX card later on and a CPU that is overclockable.

MoBo / CPU - MSI Z97 w/ 4690k = $390 (save $30)

PCPartPicker part list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/hFbddC
Price breakdown by merchant: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/hFbddC/by_merchant/

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($25.00)
Memory: Mushkin Redline 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-2400 Memory ($84.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Seagate 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Hybrid Internal Hard Drive ($114.67 @ Amazon)
Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 760 2GB TWIN FROZR Video Card ($236.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Case: Phanteks Enthoo Pro ATX Full Tower Case ($99.99 @ Amazon)
Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 750W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($64.99 @ Micro Center)
Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24F1ST DVD/CD Writer ($17.98 @ OutletPC)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (OEM) (64-bit) ($89.98 @ OutletPC)
Total: $734.59
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

Total - $1,124 and the system (MoBo and CPU) is sized for adding a 2nd 760 down the line
