Have USB Mouse was working fine on my computer Windows 8.1 until this morning it after computer sleep i wake it up and it stops working but the light is still on.

No issues in Device manager. Tried reset and multiple hard resets (battery out, 30 s etc.) and no bueno.

Funny thing is, I plugged in another mouse, got it to work. Then when I plugged in the same mouse it was working too.

I put it to sleep and took it school, woke up again...and it worked fine.

After class come back and put it in, and again it stopped working. I switched ports nothing. After restart, it works on the USB on the right side but left ones just power (light is ON) but not moving cursor.

Anyone have solution to this problem?

(Due to nature of issue, I am 100% sure it is some sort of software/driver issue because it is working fine intermittently and when it works it keeps working)

It sounds suspiciously like a controller problem in the mouse. I'll suggest putting the mouse on another PC and seeing if the mouse does the same thing if left in another PC for any length of time.
You can uninstall the USB drivers and then restart the computer with the mouse in (should discover and re-install drivers) but I'm thinking the controller chip in the mouse personally, how old is the mouse?
